SDFNL MAGAZINE's Top 10

#1 Madison Warhawks
LB  Sampson Niu
#2 Mater Dei Catholic
RB  CJ Verdell
#3 Helix Highlanders
LB Ezekiel Noa
Zeke may be the fiercest competitor on this list, and a definite D1 prospect.  This 3rd year starter fills the hole like no other. His skills are off the charts, and his ability to locate the ball runner will be disastrous for opponents
Madison's defense is led by this 2 year starter  Linebacker Sampson Niu. His atheltic abilty makes Sampson  Niu dangerous to all ball carries. The best way to  avoid this heat  seeking missile is to stay of the field.
Mater Dei looks to defend it's title behind the best back in San Diego. Mater Dei's running Back CJ Verdell is the ultimate offensive package. This athletic speedster has the ability and skills to break some rushing records in 2016.

There is no doubt that La Jolla Country Day QB Braxton Burmeister is the top QB in San Diego. His ability to find the open receiver will be the key to the Torreys success in 2016. Burmeister has picked up offers from the SEC and PAC 12 with more to come.

#8  Rancho Bernardo  Broncos
QB  Mark Salazar
#9  Madison Warhawks
QB Terrel Carter
Whether Jojo Falo is playing on offense or defense, the Madison High School Warhawk imposes his will on the opposition. Equally skilled on both sides of the ball, the 6-foot-2, 275-pound senior combines intellect, quickness and power in the trenches.
Despite coming back from a combined 2-19 record from the preceding seasons, the Rancho Bernardo Bronco’s were not ready to hang up the cleats after their second place spot in last years Division II playoffs. Rancho Bernardo began their 2015 season with a banging 13-2 record.
Madison High School Terrell Carter is a superb athlete on and off the field (also top-notch basketball player), but make no mistake about it, he is a quarterback first and foremost.
The senior quarterback possesses nice size (6’2” 175lbs) and speed (4.70 40yd),

WR Azizi Hearn
Black, Vegas Gold, and Turquoise are what the Olympian Eagles wear on Friday night. But don’t let the swag of their gear fool you, they are blue collar tough. And they are lead by the 6’3” 300lb center Dominic Gudino. Gudino possess D-1 size and grit.
Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 187-pounds, this big and strong cornerback is going to create problems for offenses all season long. And his size and speed (4.43 40yd) are only matched by his passion and intensity.

The class of 2017 running back Tyler Rogers put up some excellent numbers last season for the San Marcos Knights.
With the graduation of Terrell Burgess, this multi-faceted and agile speedster is going to
